The Wild
Way Course - NEW
This challenging obstacle course is an entirely new
part of the Run with Nature fun! Although we’ll hand
out awards to the top finishers, you’re mostly competing
for the sheer fun of it (remember how to do that?).
Take it on single-handedly to challenge your skills,
or take the pack approach with your whole family participating
and help each other through the course. Legs-up, boosts,
cheering on, and helping hands are completely sanctioned!
Tackle the Wild Way as your main event, or add
it on after your 5K, 10K or youth run (feel free
to take a sip of water and a short rest at the vendor
fair first!). The course takes you on a 2+ mile crazy
rollercoaster of a run, over grass, gravel, pavement,
and dirt; up hills and down hills; over fences, under
barricades; through fields, along chutes; through
the Zoo, up flights of stairs; and over logs spanning
a mud moat. You won’t get that dirty … unless you
happen to misjudge your step on the logs!
